Cigna DPPO networks provide easy access to reputable orthodontists in the US as well as discounts on covered orthodontic services. When you see an in-network Cigna orthodontist, certain orthodontic treatments are partially covered. You pay a coinsurance (a part of the covered costs) once you meet your annual deductible and satisfy waiting periods, and the policy covers the remaining costs (up to the yearly or lifetime dollar limit of the plan).

According to Cigna Dental, routine dental x-rays are estimated to be 100% covered while non-routine x-rays are estimated to be 80% covered after plan deductible. Cigna Dental covers 1 set of bitewing x-rays, which consist of radiographs/diagnostic imaging (including interpretation), in any 12 consecutive month period.
