History

WeldWerks Brewing began in a garage, just like several other successful enterprises. In 2009, Neil Fisher (co-founder and head brewer) started homebrewing with friends at his house, and for the next few years, a full roster of over two dozen colorful personalities would come about once a month to brew, learn, and appreciate one another's company. Colin Jones, the company's current CEO and co-founder was one of those personalities who could sense Neil's potential even at that early point.

Fast forward a few years to the 2014 Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywines Festival, which was hosted in Vail, CO, at the time, and is home to one of the greatest homebrew competitions in the country. A tacit deal was struck ahead of time that if Neil won a medal at this famous tournament, he would consider starting a brewery. In the end, he didn't just win one medal; he won two. Colin and Neil's casual handshake rapidly blossomed into a business proposal, and the first beers were poured at WeldWerks Brewing in Greeley, CO, 11 months later.

Crew of WeldWerks

Without a doubt, one of WeldWerks' greatest sources of pride is the outstanding team that they have been fortunate enough to assemble over the years near Greeley CO. Family, friends, and many of the personalities that could be seen homebrewing in co-founder Neil Fisher's garage years before the notion of WeldWerks was even put on the table have all played a part. They also seek for the best outside expertise with the goal of implementing new ideas and best practices into every aspect of the brewery.

WeldWerks is dedicated to cultivating a group of employees who feel as if they have made significant contributions to the company's health and operations, regardless of how long (or short) they have been with them. Each employee is urged to take advantage of educational opportunities, cross-train in different professions, and learn more about any relevant personal interests through their network of industry friends.

The Process

All of WeldWerks' beers are brewed on a 15-bbl 3-vessel steam brewhouse in Downtown Greeley. They have 300+ unique beers in just four years, spanning a virtually endless range of styles, proving that creativity and exploration are in their DNA. However, we are driven by an unwavering dedication to quality and a never-ending desire for development near Greeley CO. (Source: weldwerks.com)
