Books, computers, movies, music, wi-fi, laptop and projector rentals, bike repair, and free printing are all available at the Farr Regional Library. This 38,000 square-foot building, located in the City of Greeley, serves as a regional library for the High Plains Library District, holds over 125,000 items, 34 public computers, and free wifi connectivity. The freshly remodeled Farr Regional Library, which was built in 2002 and is named after renowned Greeley resident W.D. Farr, offers a drive-up book drop, a café/vending area, community meeting rooms, five study rooms, and a fireplace that has become a favorite reading site in the winter.

It offers free public access to grants directories, publications on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center's electronic databases as part of this countrywide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit institutions.

History
The Weld Library District near Greeley CO is a specialized taxing district created in 1986 under Colorado Library Law C.R.S. 24-90-101 to improve library service to citizens by sharing materials, employees, and tax income. Except for the Windsor-Severance Library District and the City of Dacono, the taxation authority covers all of Weld County. The High Plains Library District spreads into additional counties in some regions. Residents of Boulder County's Town of Erie opted in 2007 to join the High Plains Library District. A 3.249 mill levy applied to the appraised value of parts of Weld and Boulder County properties is the primary source of revenue for the High Plains Library District. The District includes about 4,000 square miles and serves over 245,959 inhabitants of Weld County and portions of surrounding counties.
The Library Board of Trustees approved the request to rename the Library District High Plains Library District in July 2008 as part of a rebranding project.
The High Plains Library District is made up of 7 branch libraries, 6 autonomous member libraries, and bookmobile services each of which is administered by its own board of trustees. (Source: mylibrary.us)
